The Canine subdivision uses all the default radio calls with a few exceptions, all the K-9 specific radio calls will be listed below:

Going on duty as K-9

• 1A-99 10-41 10-8 Active K-9 using callsign 1C-99

Deactivating K-9

• 1C-99 deactivating K-9 using callsign 1A-99

Deploying K-9

• 1C-99 (be advised) deploying K-9

Releasing K-9

• 1C-99 (be advised) releasing K-9

Tracking person

• 1C-99 I got a trace on the suspect, tracking with K-9

Starting search

• 1C-99 I got a scent on the missing person, starting a search with K-9

Searching person, vehicle and/or building

• 1C-99 I’ll be searching the person/vehicle/building with K-9
